Interlaboratory study ILS-2022 officially validated by ASTM

We are pleased to announce that the interlaboratory study ILS-2022 conducted by eralytics has now been officially validated by ASTM. Based on the provided data, the precision statement of ASTM D7094 has been updated and the new revision is available at the ASTM website.

This ILS sets a new quality benchmark for flash point testing, proofing that ASTM D7094 is the most versatile flash point test method, combining a wide temperature range with an excellent precision for a large variety of products. ASTM D7094 is already listed in the following fuel specifications as a valid flash point test method:

  • ASTM D396 – Fuel Oil
  • ASTM D975 – Diesel Fuel
  • ASTM D2880 – Gas Turbine Fuel Oils
  • ASTM D3699 – Kerosine
  • ASTM D7467 – Diesel Fuel Oil & Biodiesel Blends

Now we are ready for the next step, getting our flash point test method ASTM D7094 approved for Aviation Turbine Fuels (Jet Fuel) according to ASTM D1665 & D7566.
